Peter Gene Hernandez comes from Hawaii, where he was raised. His father has Puerto Rican and Ashkenazi Jewish roots, while his mother has Filipino and Spanish ancestry. Mars has been dating Jessica Caban since 2011 and until today.

Professional Life

He moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to start his musical career. He founded a production team in 2009 and 2010 was finally able to rise to fame.
He first gained notoriety with songs by Travie McCoy, B.o.B., Billionaire, and Nothin’ on You where he sang.
His debut album was Doo-Wops & Hooligans in 2010, which involved pop, reggae, and R&B. It spawned many hits, like Just the Way You Are, Grenade, and The Lazy Song. His second album was released in 2012 under the title Unorthodox Jukebox. It hit number 1 on Billboard 200, with hits like Locked Out of Heaven and When I Was Your Man.
In 2014, Bruno Mars was the star of Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson, and the song was a huge hit. It spent fourteen weeks on Billboard Hot 100. His third album was 24K Magic. It came out in 2016 with a lot of excellent reviews. It won seven Grammies, such as Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and more. That’s What I Like was the seventh number-one single from Mars.
In 2021, he worked with Anderson.Paak or Silk to release the album An Evening with Silk Sonic. Leave the Door Open, the leading single from the album topped the Billboard charts.
