Soléa steps into her newest era with confidence, clarity, and rhythm. Her debut single “Dance With Me” sets the tone for her upcoming EP CHANGES, inviting listeners into a world where vulnerability meets groove.
A New Chapter Begins with “Dance With Me”
“Dance With Me” is the first single off Soléa’s debut EP CHANGES, and it feels like a bold introduction to who she is becoming. The Atlanta-based multidisciplinary artist brings warmth, flirtation, and self-assurance into every note. The track glides between sultry neo-soul textures and jazz-inspired phrasing, carried by her smooth vocals and intentional production choices.
From the opening lines, there is a spark. “Fever running so high, I can melt” immediately sets an intimate mood. The lyrics paint a scene that feels cinematic yet personal. She spots someone across the room, senses their guarded energy, and wonders what might happen if she makes the first move. There is tension, curiosity, and a playful edge.
The repeated invitation, “Baby, come and dance with me,” becomes more than a hook. It feels like a mantra of desire and confidence. Soléa does not shy away from sensuality. She embraces it with control and grace. The rhythm builds around her voice, pulsing with warmth. Each chorus swells with layered vocals that feel immersive, as if she is surrounding the listener with sound.
“Dance With Me” is available on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, and SoundCloud, making it accessible to fans wherever they stream. It is a strong opening statement for an artist who clearly understands her sound and her story.
The Artist Behind the Sound
Soléa is a producer, bassist, pianist, content creator, bandleader, and student at Spelman College, where she majors in music. Based in Atlanta, she represents a generation of independent artists who take ownership of every part of their craft.
She wears many hats and does so intentionally. From writing and mixing her tracks to booking shows and leading rehearsals, she stays hands-on. That independence shapes her music. There is a distinct cohesion in her work because she builds it from the ground up.
Her musical roots run deep. She has been singing in school choirs for as long as she can remember. At 13, she began taking piano lessons, later attending Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp to study piano more seriously. During the pandemic, she taught herself bass. That moment of isolation became an opportunity for growth. Soon after, during her freshman year at Spelman, she began producing. What started as beat-making evolved into writing and recording her own songs.
Her artistry also extends into the world of sound design. Soléa has contributed as an audio artist on The Sims 4 expansion packs Life & Death, Business & Hobbies, and Adventure Awaits. She works in live productions and video games, shaping sonic environments that bring stories to life. That technical background enhances her approach to songwriting. She understands how sound moves people, how texture creates mood, and how subtle details can transform a moment.
Recently, she opened for Ari Lennox at Spelman’s SpelHouse Neo-Soul homecoming concert. It was a milestone that reflected her steady rise. Sharing a stage connected to neo-soul excellence felt aligned with her influences and aspirations.
Growth, Identity, and Letting Go
Last year, Soléa released three singles as her introduction to the world. This year signals something deeper. She describes this new phase as more mature, queer, and sensual. That shift is evident in “Dance With Me.” The song holds desire without apology. It leans into fantasy and temptation. It allows imagination to unfold freely.
Lines like “Give in to temptation” and “I feel it when we’re touching” express longing with softness rather than shock. The repetition in the lyrics mirrors the looping thoughts that accompany attraction. “Thinking about you” circles back again and again, echoing the way desire lingers in the mind.
Behind this growth lies an important lesson. Soléa has learned to release outside perception. She understands that she cannot control how others receive her art. What she can control is her honesty. That mindset shapes her current era. There is less hesitation. More intention. A clearer sense of self.
Her influences in jazz and neo-soul shine through in her phrasing and instrumentation. There is fluidity in her vocal delivery. The basslines carry warmth. The chords feel rich and layered. At the same time, the track feels contemporary, grounded in modern R&B textures.
“Dance With Me” captures a moment of heat and anticipation. It invites the listener onto the dance floor, into close proximity, into shared rhythm. It reflects an artist stepping fully into her voice, both literally and creatively.
As Soléa continues her journey, The EP CHANGES promises even more evolution. “Dance With Me” is only the beginning, and it signals an artist who is ready to explore, to feel deeply, and to move forward without fear.

We had the privilege of interviewing the Music Artist. Here are excerpts from the interview:
Thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.
Hello! I’m Soléa, an emerging independent artist based in Atlanta and a Music major at Spelman College. I wear many hats—producing, writing, mixing, creating content, booking shows, and leading my band. I’m a vocalist, bassist, and pianist with strong influences in jazz and neo-soul, using my music to bring my stories to life while having fun along the way. Outside of performing, I work as a sound designer for video games and live productions. I’ve contributed as an audio artist on The Sims 4 expansion packs Life & Death, Business & Hobbies, and Adventure Awaits. I’m passionate about all things music and audio.

Please tell us about your journey.
I’ve been singing in school choirs for as long as I can remember. Wanting to explore music more deeply, I started piano lessons at 13 and spent a summer at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp studying piano. During the pandemic, I taught myself bass, and later began producing during my freshman year at Spelman—starting with beat-making before moving into writing and recording my own work. Recently, I had the opportunity to open for Ari Lennox at Spelman’s SpelHouse Neo-Soul homecoming concert. Last year, I released three singles as my introduction to the world. This year marks a new chapter: a more mature, queer, and sensual era of my artistry. My journey is still unfolding, and I’m excited to see where music takes me next.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
One of the biggest lessons behind my growth has been letting go of outside perception. At the end of the day, you can’t control how people receive you—you can only stay true to yourself and keep creating.
