We had the pleasure of interviewing Thee immortal Mr. Miraculous a.k.a. Super hood hero a.k.a. shh, a Hip-Hop Music Artist. Here are the excerpts from the interview.
Hi, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.
My name is Super hood hero, a.k.a. shh. Actually, I have two hip-hop personalities. I’m best known as Thee immortal Mr. Miraculous. However, most people consider him a no-curse-words children-friendly bubble gum rapper. So, that would make Super hood hero, aka shh, my alter ego.
Please tell us about your mission.
Super hood hero, aka shh, is on a very specific mission to popularize one song titled “Bring that beat back” via a series of 12 verses glorifying old-school style rapping and hip-hop’s pioneers. I’m currently in the process of releasing verses 1-6 in 2022 and verses 7-12 in 2023. On new years day 2024, his mission shall be complete, and there will be no more super hood hero, aka shh!!! Some may ask why did I choose to run this mission?
The answer begins with my birth in Brooklyn in 1971. In a nutshell, there was no hip-hop culture until there was me. I watched it climb to its highest height, and sad to say, and I witnessed it take its plunge. All the while, I had a reputation for being lyrically gifted and ahead of my time, yet, I never made a record or got rich and famous for my talents because I’m truly from where it all started, on the street corners and back. Then we didn’t do it for glitz, glamor, and green; we did it for recognition, reputation, and respect!!!
Through my observations, gone are those days, and it’s only right that some brave-hearted soul brings it back to give these new school rappers a positive example of where it came from and what it’s all about. Not only are my children fully grown and heavily down with this new school era, but they actually have the mindset that my style is outdated, and I’m too old to be still trying to rap. I’ll show them that good music will always be relevant, intricate lyrics will always be appreciated, and that there’s no such thing as too old to have something of great relevance to say!!! If my mission gets accomplished as planned, I will create a friendly battle competition between the old and young while simultaneously uniting the old and young. Even if my mission does come up short, at least I will have given a new alternative to my age group. They are seemingly now being forced to listen to foul-mouthed obscenities in the music and would much rather prefer to be able to understand every word of a song and choose to replay it because of the good feelings it provides.
Furthermore, during this mission, I intend to invite, insist, challenge, and darn near dare my personal favorite original old-school rappers to come out of retirement and join me on my mission and prove the saying to be true that there’s strength in numbers. Just try to imagine a nationwide friendly competition with me and every grand champion from 1980-2000 versus all the best rappers from 2001-today. Whether we win, lose or draw, our hip hop culture as a whole stands to gain an up-to-date victory simply by becoming flooded with the option of new school reality rap, which some elders tend to find offensive, and old school reality rap, which some new jacks might refer to as corny. I’d just like to say to all of the new schoolers who call my music corny. You can’t make me feel offended because I don’t do what I do for you!!! And to all my old schoolers who find most (not all, I never said all) new school rappers offensive, get with me asap and let’s reclaim what we created by combining together and doing what we do!!!
In conclusion, I have one simple question and one simple answer. Question: who will deservingly win the award for the best new rapper in 2023??? Answer: who’s judging!!!
