Popular music band ‘The Parlophonics is making music magic across continents with their exciting album ‘Dying Of The Light’

Dying Of The Light is the newest, exciting album from The Parlophonics, a rock band who are known for their amazing synchronicity, all the more amazing because the group was formed and was working long distance. Dying of the Light is the latest triumph and a celebration of retro rock and pop with a British influence.

The Parlophonics feature three members: Hugh Macdonalds, filling the role of lead vocalist, Robert Horvath, who is a guitarist and bassist, as well as the guitarist and drummer Fernando Perdomo. Each member has their own unique sound that they bring and a special touch that distinguishes The Parlophonics in quality and style. This band was founded in 2020, during the pandemic, when all three members were discovering their genuine calling and purpose in life through a celebration of their love for music. While Macdonald plays from London, Horvath is over in Dresden, and Perdomo adds his sound from North Hollywood, on another continent. This is a band that is committed to its indie style and puts a twist of their very own on the music they play.

Dying of the Light brings to the forefront the talents of each member of the band. It also offers mixing and mastering courtesy of Grammy winner Zach Ziskin. The album is being distributed by companies like Kool Kat Musik and ZOUNDR, based in New Jersey and Germany, specifically in Munich. The cover art comes from Klaus Voorman, who also did the cover art for the famous album Revolver for the Beatles. If this was not enough, several guests are on the album, including Marcella Detroit, best known for Shakespears Sister, and Danny Seiwell, the drummer for Paul McCartney’s band.

This album is a great recommendation for fans of retro sound, as each member of the band also is a part of the same category. This is a love letter to retro sound that perfectly captures the passion in each track. The amazing mixing also provides a sound that makes listeners forget all about each band member being separated by miles and miles. They sound as if they are recording in the same room, and their harmonies are impeccable. This is notable, as the three have never been in the same room together.

This is an album that straddles the line between mainstream, thanks to its high production values, and the indie, thanks to the alternative spirit that permeates the tracks. They draw inspiration from music from the 60s and 70s, committing to the aesthetic in the sound and the musical composition. Dying of the Light follows their debut, A Day in the Life, released in 2021.

The band drew inspiration from the pandemic to finally make their musical dreams come true. It is a sure hit for fans of bands like The Beatles and Oasis, as well as artists like Paul Weller. This music is distinguished by harmonic melodies and memorable hooks.

We had the pleasure of interviewing the members of The Parlophonics. Here are the excerpts from the interview.

Hi, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.

Hi, we are an indie rock trio who believe in classic rock and try to bring that feeling and quality of the 60/70s back into our nowadays, just with a contemporary Twist. On that journey, The Parlophonics have company by renowned musicians like Sakespears Sister Marcella Detroit or Denny Sewell, who drummed for Paul McCartney and Billy Joel.

Please tell us about your album, Dying Of The Light.

Our 2nd album, “Dying Of The Light,” is a dazzling display of the band’s ability to craft power pop gems and british-infused rock anthems with a retro spirit, all while collaborating exclusively through the exchange of files over vast distances. The tonal harmonies between band members Robert Horvath, Fernando Perdomo, and Hugh Macdonald feel like the band is performing in the same space, although they create together remotely.
