We had the pleasure of interviewing music artists RXY and Skengyola. They have recently released an EP, What Can I Say? Here are the excerpts from the interview.
Hi, Great to have both of you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.
Hi, We go by the names RXY and Skengyola. We first met when VVS (our manager) had brought me to the studio for the first time, and his other artist was there. Instantly we connected and started making music together. We had made one or two tracks in that session, and from there, we decided to make an EP together as we connected so well musically.
Please tell us more about your journey.
RXY: I’m originally from London. I’ve been in Bristol for five years now and have continued to pursue my music career with VVS. Since I have been under VVS management, I’ve dropped three solo tracks and, at the moment, have been concentrating on the joint EP with Skengyola. I love this EP and think this project can take us to the next level. I’d say Tango is the best track on the EP. I have performed at festivals such as Love Saves The Day two years back to back. I have had numerous gigs around Bristol.
Skengyola: I was born and raised in bristol and have always been involved with music my whole life. The first track I dropped, which was a video, was eight years ago with an artist at the time called Ldot. I have made numerous tracks and videos since but haven’t really taken them seriously since I joined VVS management.
I instantly dropped my first track called Local Distro, which got over 100k views on GRM Daily/YouTube. Since then, I have released a freestyle in honor of my friend dying called Never Stray From Us. The next solo track I dropped was Hot Pepper. I have released numerous tracks and videos since then and continue to pursue my career in music, but right now, this EP, What Can I Say? is my main focus which I created with RXY. He’s someone different from whom I’m used to collaborating with. He brings a different vibe, and I feel this EP is a good project and can take us to the next level.
