Nomad Glaze, also known as Teryence Glaze, hails from the heart of Birmingham, Alabama—a city rich in culture and history. Growing up in this vibrant environment, Nomad’s journey has been anything but ordinary. From an early age, he found solace in the art of poetry and music, channeling his thoughts and emotions into words and melodies. However, despite his early affinity for music, the world around him seemed more focused on pushing him toward sports. With a single mother raising him and his two siblings, and no father figure to guide him, the sports industry became the natural path for a young boy with dreams. But deep down, Nomad knew his true calling lay in music.
It wasn’t until 2014 that Nomad began to seriously hone his musical skills, mastering the art of rap and hip-hop. Over the years, he’s performed at several small venues, each performance bringing him closer to realizing his dream of sharing his voice with the world. Now, after years of hard work and self-discovery, Nomad is ready to take his music to the next level, determined to spread light in a world that often feels dim.
Live Free: A Philosophy of Life and Music
Nomad Glaze’s music is more than just sound; it’s a philosophy. His mantra, “Live Free,” is a powerful message that resonates through his lyrics and his life. To Nomad, living free means stepping outside the boundaries that society often imposes, being true to oneself, and embracing love for all. It’s about staying elevated—both mentally and spiritually—and encouraging others to do the same. This message is woven into every beat and every lyric, offering listeners not just music, but a way of life.
Nomad’s music invites listeners to delve deep into their own minds, to reflect, and to find peace. He likens his style to that of Bob Marley, but with a hip-hop twist—a soothing, soulful experience that leaves you thinking long after the song has ended. For Nomad, music isn’t just entertainment; it’s therapy. It’s a way to heal, to grow, and to connect with others on a deeper level.
GBTT (God Bless the Trap): A Song Born from Home
Nomad’s latest single, “GBTT” (God Bless the Trap), is a reflection of his roots, both past and present. The inspiration for the song came during a visit home to Birmingham, where Nomad found himself feeling a little lost on his journey. Reconnecting with family and childhood friends brought back a flood of memories, reminding him of where he came from and the experiences that shaped him. “GBTT” is a product of these experiences, blending the struggles of the past with the hope of the future.
The trap, in this context, isn’t just a place—it’s a metaphor for the challenges and obstacles that life throws at us. It’s about surviving, thriving, and finding blessings even in the most difficult situations. Nomad’s lyrics speak to those who have faced hardships and come out stronger, to those who have walked through the fire and emerged with a renewed sense of purpose. “God Bless the Trap” is more than just a song; it’s an anthem for anyone who has ever felt trapped by their circumstances but refused to give up.
The Journey Continues: Striving for Excellence
For Nomad Glaze, the journey is far from over. Though he’s only been taking music seriously for a few months, he’s already made significant strides. But he knows there’s always room for growth. Nomad is committed to giving his fans the best quality music possible, constantly learning and striving to improve. He’s not just in it for the fame or the fortune—he’s in it to make a difference, inspire others, and share his truth with the world.
Nomad’s dedication to his craft is evident in everything he does, from the thought-provoking lyrics he writes to the soulful performances he delivers. He understands that music has the power to change lives, and he’s determined to use his voice to make a positive impact. As he continues to refine his skills and explore new creative avenues, Nomad is confident that everything will work out the way it’s supposed to.

Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, my journey has been special. I’ve been putting poetry and songs together since I was 9. I was never really acknowledged for my musical talents. I had no father, and because my mom had to raise me and my two other siblings, my only option was sports! I gave a lot of my light to the sports industry! I got a late start on honing my musical skills. I’ve been mastering the art of Rap since 2014. I’ve Performed at around seven small venues! I feel now is the time for me to take this seriously! I’m ready for the world to hear me. I love music; it’s my therapy. Everything will work out the way it’s supposed to.
