Connor Dawson aka Yung Psych is a 27-year-old artist from Sheffield, England. The reason Psych wanted to create his music was so he could help others who are like him, either broken inside or lonely, or even those who have faced drug issues. He makes these songs so he can help his fans be better and not make the mistakes he did with drugs.
Yung Psych is a hip-hop/emo rap artist/producer. He started his musical dreams in his teens, rapping about the struggles of living in a council area.

We had the pleasure of interviewing the artist. Here are the excerpts from the interview:
Hi, Please introduce yourself and tell us about what it is that you do.
My name is Connor Dawson. I’m 28 from Sheffield. I’m a music producer for DeadboysBeats, a company I started in 2020 to help connect anyone who cares for music.
Can you please tell us about your journey?
Ever since I was 12 years old, I always wanted to be a rapper. I made many songs and videos, and although none really blew up, I loved making them. Fast forward to 28, and I’m still going strong; I started making music to help get things off my chest. As a male, we all know it’s hard to talk about mental health, so I decided to talk about it in music, and it’s really helped me control my emotions.
Please tell us about the mixtape ‘I Hate You, Vol.1’.
So, my story for this mixtape is just that it’s telling a story! If you listen to my ‘I Love You mixtape,’ this is a continuation of the story, hence the name I Hate You mixtape; this mixtape has my most venerable lyrics and emotions all in one.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
I don’t know if I’d say I’m successful to be honest, but to anyone who feels like giving up, I do have some words my best friend said before she passed away:
You should always strive for greatness. If not, greatness will leave you behind, and that’s enough motivation for me to keep pushing no matter the outcome.
