When he could not find the right pair of shoes for his wedding, He created the brand Hitchdtheshoe to help others. Meet the Founder Marc Bakhos

Today we have the pleasure of Interviewing Entrepreneur Marc Bakhos from Beirut, Lebanon. He has a passion for working on innovative & niche projects. Today, he is sharing an interesting journey with us about how he created his Men’s Shoe brand Hitchdtheshoe, that people are talking about all across the world!

How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey?

My passion for fashion and concept designs has got me to where I am today. I was looking for a casual shoe to get married in, and I struggled to find the right pair to match my tuxedo. I realized that many gentlemen were going through the same struggle, so I decided to create my own brand called Hitchdtheshoe to cater to newlyweds’ needs. 

Who are your role models?

My family, whom I love and support all the time, as well as my amazing wife who keeps pushing me to become the best version of myself at all times. 

What inspires you?

To be honest, many things inspire me. But a very important inspiration, other than my family, is music. It takes me places sometimes and could make me visualize everything, giving me clarity when needed,

Please tell us about your Shoe Brand Hitch’dtheshoe

Hitch’dtheshoe is a bespoke shoe concept that has been created to provide a comfortable addition to formal shoe attire. Originally designed to be worn to a wedding, these premium sneakers are ideal for any occasion and will add modern and stylish charm to any outfit. We are looking to expand our operations to cater to the European market soon and to launch the new products that we have been working on for the past couple of months.

What’s your most memorable experience?

My wedding day

Which social media channels work best for promoting your work? What exactly do you do on the social media channel that makes it work for you?

Instagram, Linkedin, and Facebook. We target in a very systematic way, and our followers are all organic, and buyers become loyal to the brand. You may be wondering. How do we do that? We have a very family type approach to our customers, making them feel and know that we are all part of a mini family, which creates a magical experience between the consumers and me. 

What’s your greatest fear?

The fear of losing someone I love. 

Looking back, what’s one thing you wish you understood better before you ever got started?

Maybe intensive digital marketing tactics. As the digital realm has been increasing rapidly, I think getting into my project, this is where I somewhat lacked a bit. I am taking some courses now though it is never too late to learn and get your hands dirty. 

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

My passion and love for what I have created

What keeps you going when things get tough?

I have a fighter’s mentality, so I take challenges constructively and push to find the appropriate solutions.

2020 has been a very tough year for all of us. The unexpected pandemic has made us change our lifestyles and habits tremendously.
