His early life and career beginnings

He was born Carlos Estévez to actor Martin Sheen and artist Janet Templeton. He has two older brothers, Emilio and Ramon, and a younger sister, Renée, who are all actors following their father’s footsteps.

His acting debut was at nine, in his father’s starring film, The Execution of Private Slovik, where he portrayed a kid in a wedding scene.

Charlie attended Santa Monica High School in California, where he played for the baseball team. He was interested in acting and played alongside his brother, Emilio, and schoolmates.
