Jerome Flynn is an English actor. He is best known for his role as Bronn in Game of Thrones, as well as performances in Soldier Soldier and Ripper Street.

Flynn had a relationship with Lena Headey, a Game of Thrones co-star, but it ended while the show was still airing. He is a vegan and strongly supports vegetarian and vegan charities.
Professional life
Flynn debuted as an actor in the 1980’s. He appeared in the TV film London’s Burning, which spawned a series, but he was not able to reprise the role. In 1988, he appeared in The Fear, an ITV drama.
Between The Lines was a BAFTA-winning project, and Flynn appeared on six episodes of the drama between 1992 and 1994.
In Soldier Soldier, he portrayed Paddy Garvey, starting in 1991. He performed Unchained Melody with fellow actor Robson Green, which led to a wild demand for the song. The duo recorded it as a single, and it topped the charts in 1995. The duo had two more number one hits that year and the next.
In 1997, he appeared in Ain’t Misbehavin’, once more alongside Robson Green. In 1999, he starred in Badger, which did not last, and appeared in Best.
The actor semi-retired from acting until 2007 when he directed and starred in Rude Tales, a low-budget flick.
In 2010, after a long retirement, Flynn was confirmed for the role of Bronn in Game of Thrones, which brought him international acclaim. Bronn is a sellsword or a mercenary that is employed by Tyrion. The character’s role was expanded for the series. Bronn is used by Tyrion as his champion for a duel, and then, after parting ways, he ascends to power and becomes the head of House Stokeworth.
He also starred in Ripper Street for four series. In 2016, the actor appeared in an episode of Black Mirror. He also did voice work for a children’s show titled Tommy Zoom, where he voiced a hound.
In 2019, Flynn revealed he got cast in an Amazon Prime series adaptation of The Dark Tower, but that project has not been released, and there has been scant information, especially after the release of the poorly received Dark Tower movie.
In 2021, he appeared in The Trick, a BBC1 drama based on real-life events, specifically what was known as Climategate.

Game of Thrones brought the actor out of a decade-long retirement. He reported loving the cast and the opportunity, as it was something truly special.
His brother is actor Daniel Flynn, and his father is actor Eric Flynn. Eric appeared in The Empire of the Sun, while Daniel is known for his voice work for important games like Bloodborne.
He was a singer but did not go formally into singing until the success of his performance of Unchained Melody. While his duo with Robson did not last long, they managed to produce albums and successful singles that topped the charts.
