We had the pleasure of interviewing Nikki Niemczycki, Author of Recruitability: A Strategic Job-Hunting Guide with the Inside Scoop from a Recruiter. Here are the excerpts from the interview.
Hi Nikki, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about your journey.
Hello! I’ve been in recruiting for over ten years. I’ve helped over 5,000 candidates find job opportunities, and I love to share advice with the job-seeking community.
Please tell us about your book, Recruitability.
My book, Recruitability, is for job seekers of all levels of seniority. It covers different methods you can use to find the right jobs to apply to, as well as extensive content on how to: update your LinkedIn and social profiles for better visibility, create and format your resume, find the best jobs online, prepare for interviews, negotiate offers, and network with others. It’s all written from the recruiter’s perspective, so readers can understand how they’re being evaluated and better position themselves.
Please share with our readers about your journey.
I started my career in advertising and fell into recruiting a few years later. I’ve spent time as both an internal and external recruiter, supporting domestic and global organizations. I am passionate about sharing my recruiter knowledge with the job-seeker community to help them succeed! This is my first published book, so I’m just starting my author journey.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Every single person that you speak with in your life can teach you something. And you have a lot to teach others as well.
Fantastic! So tell us, how can people find out more about you?
You can view my LinkedIn for more information.
Thank you so much, Nikki, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
