Celebrating the Magic of Everyday Moments
Claudia Croft’s debut picture book, Me and You, Just Us Two, warmly captures the pure joy and comfort found in the everyday moments shared between a mother and her toddler. It’s the kind of book you’ll want to read again and again—each page brimming with sweetness and gentle rhymes. Vibrant illustrations bring to life the giggles, adventures, and cozy routines that shape the days of this loving duo. From dawn to dusk, readers follow along, reminded that life’s simplest experiences often become our most cherished memories.

Moments Worth Remembering
There’s a real charm in how Claudia portrays the small rituals that families create. Whether it’s laughing together at breakfast, swinging under the evening sky, or those precious bedtime snuggles—each scene highlights genuine, relatable warmth. Her words are simple yet poetic, letting readers feel deeply connected to the characters. It’s a book that encourages mindfulness, subtly nudging both parents and kids to treasure the here and now, even amid the busy pace of life.
Claudia knows these fleeting moments pass quickly, which is exactly why she wrote this story—to hold onto them a little longer. Parents will recognize their own daily routines in its pages, making the story a comforting reflection of their lives. The intimacy shared by parent and child shines through, making every page feel like a warm hug.
A Reflection of Real Love
Me and You, Just Us Two isn’t just another children’s book—it’s personal. Claudia Croft, a licensed mental health therapist and full-time toddler mom, crafted this heartfelt narrative from her own parenting experiences. Inspired by the deep bond she shares with her spirited little one, Claudia created a gentle story her daughter could see herself in—one filled with love, security, and belonging.
The book beautifully highlights solo parenting days, giving voice to moments often overlooked in children’s literature. Claudia’s writing shines a spotlight on the deep, quiet connections that exist between parent and child. There’s no drama, no complexity—just a pure, honest depiction of love in its simplest form.
Parents and children alike will find comfort in seeing their own special moments reflected so lovingly in this narrative. Claudia’s gentle humor and authentic warmth provide reassurance to caregivers navigating the beautiful, yet often challenging, journey of parenting.

More Than Just a Story
As a storyteller, Claudia Croft doesn’t just entertain—she inspires readers to appreciate life’s small joys. Beyond the bedtime story or daytime reading, Me and You, Just Us Two serves as a reminder that every day spent with a loved one is special. It encourages families to pause, appreciate, and deeply savor the ordinary, everyday magic around them.
When Claudia isn’t writing heartfelt stories, she’s spending time enjoying farm life, crafting with her daughter, and appreciating the little moments that make family life truly special. This genuine love and joy infuse her work, making each page of her debut book resonate deeply with parents and children alike.
With future projects already underway, Claudia plans to continue celebrating the wonder and heartfelt connections found in early childhood. If her debut is any indication, readers can look forward to more gentle, touching stories that emphasize the beauty of family love and the quiet joy of everyday routines.
We had the privilege of interviewing the author. Here are excerpts from the interview:
Thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.
My name is Claudia Croft and I am a licensed mental health therapist and a full time toddler mom.
Please tell us about your journey while writing your book.
I wrote this book because I wanted to capture the fleeting beauty of everyday moments. I wanted to honor the little, quiet routines between a parent and child—because those are often the moments that mean the most but pass the quickest.
I also wanted to create a mirror for my child. I wrote it so my daughter could see herself in a story—loved, safe, and central—helping her feel seen and understood. Lastly, I wanted to fill a gap in children’s literature
that celebrated solo parenting days, simple family love, and the quiet connection between just two people.
Thank you so much, Claudia, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
