Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Dashawn BillBill Johnson, Author of Children’s Books I Love School and Grandmas House.
Hi, Great to have you with us today! Please tell us about yourself.
I’m 29 years of age. I will be turning 30 on June 13, 2021. I’m a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. I’m still on a long journey in my life.
Please tell us more about your journey.
The passion for writing children’s books has always been in me. I love staying connected with the youth, and this is one way for me to do it. I Love School is my first children’s book. My second book, called Grandmas House, is on the way. Outside of children’s books, I do have two sons. I have my own construction company, called Greater Cincinnati Property Innovations. I’m a man looking to make a positive impact in the community.
Please tell us about your books, I Love School and Grandma’s House.
My first book, I Love School, did touch my community in Cincinnati, over the Rhine. That’s where the majority of my buyers came from. I’m super motivated to build my legacy, watch the youth grow, and turn the works into a better place. The book touches on the reason why kids love school. I know the entire country was going to school online pretty much. I wanted to remind everyone, especially children, why we need and should love school.
The second book is called Grandma’s House. The main focus in this children’s book is family, love, togetherness, positivity.
Book Synopsis of I Love School:
I Love school is a children’s book that is intended to inform children that they can be anything that they want to be at a young age. The younger, the better. It gives them time to explore and find their passion.
Book Synopsis of Grandma’s House:
Having positive role models has always shaped kids into great leaders. This children’s book shows the impact that one can have on others by just being around and absorbing a positive atmosphere.
