But his creativity wasn’t confined to music—he also fell in love with photography. “Static images weren’t enough,” he admits. “I wanted to capture stories, motion, feeling.”
That restlessness led him back to music, where he found freedom in blending genres. Inspired by modern minimalists like Nils Frahm, Nobler’s work leans into neoclassical piano but isn’t afraid to wander into ambient soundscapes or even organ-driven pieces (a nod to his first musical love). His earlier projects, like Memory Tapes and A Piano Sailing, laid the groundwork for Shore Whispers, which feels like his most personal work yet.
Recognition has followed. Tracks like “Isola Luce Del Mare” have graced Spotify’s Focus Piano playlist, while “Cap Blanc Nez” featured in HBO’s Foodie Love. Hi there!
I’m Michele Nobler, a pianist and composer. I’ve loved music since I was a child. At the same time, I’ve pursued other passions, such as photography and cinema, which have naturally influenced my approach to composing over time.
Currently, I write music primarily focused on contemporary minimalist neoclassical piano, and I consider myself part of the modern musical revolution led by artists like Ludovico Einaudi, Ólafur Arnalds, and Yann Tiersen. Of course, my unique style is shaped by my passion for images and films, through what I call “Sound Images.”
Please tell us about “Sound Images” & Shore Whispers Album.
For me, “Sound Images” are what we visualize in our minds when we listen to music. They are not necessarily realistic; they can be abstract, but they always carry a strong emotional essence, shaped by the music itself. This is exactly how I composed the pieces for my latest felt piano album, Shore Whispers!
While creating the album, I imagined specific images, situations, or places and translated them into music. Here are some examples:
“Cap Blanc Nez” & “Cap Gris Nez” transport listeners to the iconic cliffs of France, where the land ends abruptly, giving way to the vastness of the sea. The music captures the feeling of standing at the edge of something immense and unknowable—a finis terrae where the conscious world meets the subconscious.
“Making Bread” is a heartwarming composition celebrating human connection. Inspired by shared traditions, its melodies evoke the warmth of community and the simple joy of creating something meaningful together.
“Isola Luce Del Mare” radiates warmth and light, reflecting the beauty of Mediterranean shores and the shimmering dance of sunlight on the waves.
“Falaise d’Étretat” explores the interplay of tranquility and tension, mirroring the dramatic shifts of nature.
In a fast-paced world where noise often drowns out meaning, Shore Whispers offers a moment of quiet reflection. The album’s piano compositions echo both the simplicity and complexity of the ocean itself—a force that soothes, inspires, and reminds us of something greater.

Please tell us about your Music journey.
As a child, I played the piano and improvised small pieces even before learning to read music. Later, I had the privilege of studying under remarkable teachers, including Antonio Del Lungo (piano and organ) and Maestro Rosario Mirigliano (composition) at the Conservatory of Florence. They encouraged me to follow my passion, always nurturing my instinct for music without ever forcing me into a particular creative or professional direction.
During my musical studies, I worked as a freelance photographer to support myself. Photography has been a deep passion of mine from the very beginning. Later, I worked as an IT technician while continuing to compose and record music—music I believed was too beautiful to keep to myself. That’s when I started publishing my works, first independently, then gradually through various record labels, including Double J Music, Raighes Factory, Silent Beat Records, Andante Piano, Valley View Records, Halidon Music, Aemeralds, and more.
Opportunities soon arose to feature my work in films and commercials. And today, I’m grateful to have piano enthusiasts around the world who enjoy covering my pieces.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Being an Independent Composer
I believe that one of the key factors in my journey as a composer has been remaining independent and constantly working to build my fan base. Social media, along with the exposure my music has gained through films, advertisements, radio, and TV, has played a crucial role in reaching listeners worldwide.
In the future, I’d love to achieve greater stability—perhaps by working with fewer partners and dedicating more time to creating new music, which for me is the most fulfilling and creative part of my work.

I believe that music is a way for everyone to express and feel what words cannot say or explain. That is the main reason why I create music.
