The Man Behind the Words: Dr. Lalit Mohan Narula

Dr. Narula’s life story is as captivating as his poetry. A retired medical professional from New Delhi, India, he dedicated his career to providing free medical care to those in need. But his curiosity didn’t stop at medicine and biology. On his way home from work, he often found himself drawn to bookstores, where he’d delve into subjects like psychology, astrology, palmistry, dark matter, science, and philosophy.
His commitment to lifelong learning has led him to cultivate expertise in various disciplines, including psychology, astrology, and philosophy. Dr. Narula’s diverse interests have given him a unique perspective on both the conscious and unconscious mind, as well as the world around us and the celestial influences that shape our lives.
He shares his knowledge and musings through his website and blog, where he often challenges traditional thinking and stirs thought-provoking discussions in academic circles. “Pearls of Poetry” is his second literary offering, following the success of his first book, “Trending Psychology,” which gained recognition at various independent book fairs.
The Heart’s Language: Poetry That Resonates
In the backcover blurb of “Pearls of Poetry,” Dr. Narula beautifully encapsulates the essence of his work:
“The language of the heart is poetry. The truth, which is multi-layered and difficult to express in ordinary language, comes automatically, symbolically, in rhymes, and one wonders how. The beauty of it comes only afterwards. Its subjectivity is expressed objectively.”
This philosophy shines through in his poetry. The poems often feel like candid conversations, capturing moments when the intellect steps aside, and the heart takes center stage. They offer a blend of simplicity and depth, making profound truths accessible through rhythmic and symbolic language.
Why “Pearls of Poetry” Is a Must-Read
In a world that’s constantly moving, taking a moment to reflect can be a rare luxury. “Pearls of Poetry” provides that opportunity. Here’s why this collection stands out:
