Hi, Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.
Music culture has always spoken to my soul. However, R&B/SOUL/HIPHOP and the 80s Synth Pop era captivated me the most over the years. I set that, and my previous experience in rock/metal as the basis, building what my sound is today. When it comes to genre, I like to break the rules.
Please tell us about your single ‘DESERT QUEEN’.
‘DESERT QUEEN’, my latest single, is a sonic journey weaving the raw, soulful vibes of R&B, the catchy hooks of Pop, and the rhythmic pulse of HipHop.
Imagine a track that transcends genres, inviting listeners into a realm where emotions dance to a beat that’s both smooth and edgy. It’s a musical tapestry where heartfelt lyrics meet the urban groove, leaving you swaying between vulnerability and swagger. This song isn’t just a melody; it’s an experience, a fusion of emotions that resonates with the complexity of life and love. My goal as an up-and-coming artist is to play more shows to broaden my reach.
Please tell us about your journey.
As a father, husband, entrepreneur, student, and disabled veteran, my journey has been long and exceptionally difficult. One of the most difficult moments of my life was transitioning back to civilian life after my contract was up. The summer before I separated, the ship I was stationed on was in a horrible collision with another vessel that led to the death of several of my shipmates. When traumatic events happen, finding time to work on yourself and your music while pushing through the many obstacles of life for any human being is indescribably strenuous. So it has taken me years of self-reflection and understanding, as well as three years traveling the world, to visualize and generate my sound.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
My strategy for success is to keep believing in myself. There will be a lot of “NO”s as you navigate through life and your music career. However, belief in yourself and others who love you is the key to any happy ending.
