Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Candice Ornstein, Founder of Source Organics, a Clean Beauty Boutique based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is also a celebrated, Emmy Nominated Makeup Artist for a little Canadian show called Schitt’s Creek.
She has made it her mission to source healthier alternatives tailored to each person’s specific skin concern. She believes that every beauty enthusiast, health seeker, and those looking to learn, should have access to information and products that will offer a renewed approach to the daily skincare routine with stunning results!
Please tell us about your journey.
I have spent 20+ years working within the film and television landscape, creating memorable characters and working with American, Canadian, and European Actors and musicians from across the globe. I have worked on Dan Levy, Heather Graham, Ryan Reynolds, Matt Damon, Sandra Oh, Willie Nelson, and Ellen Burstyn, to name a few. Much of my work can be seen at candiceornstein.com.
In 2017 I created sourceorganics.com at first as a companion company while working in film to have easier access to products I felt were better for actors skin and also a cleaner option while working in makeup trucks, typically filled with lots of toxic ingredients.
After finishing Season 6 of Schitt’s Creek, Followed by a Hallmark production, my son, who has only one parent, me, asked if I could please stay home. And so, in December 2019, I opened my first bricks and mortar location at 34 Vaughan Rd. Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Source Organics offers personalized one-on-one consultations. Although this can not be done in person until Covid-19 government-mandated closures have been lifted.
