3D Printing Guru is an influencer persona developed by Thomas Komar, an additive manufacturing expert. He focuses on creating educational content on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, along with providing services such as on-demand 3D printing and 3D modeling, 3D printing consulting, and 3D printer technical support.
Hi Thomas, Great to have you with us today! Please tell us about what it is that you do.
I am a content creator and 3D Printing professional on a mission to educate people about additive manufacturing through short-form video content on the platform TikTok. My TikTok Handle is 3DPrintingGuru. I have been on TikTok for over 12 months, have earned over 17M views, over 1.7M likes, and am nearing 100k followers.
My goal is to facilitate the democratization of 3D printing through teaching people how it works, closing the learning gap, and showing affordable options for virtually any budget, even no budget!
Please tell us more about your journey.
I started off by just having fun on TikTok, but once I saw my videos growing, I saw an opportunity to educate people. I have worked with many brands to do this! I even work as an independent contractor for TikTok as part of their Learn on TikTok initiative. I fit this program very well as my whole goal is to educate. Some companies I have worked with include Formlabs, Polymaker, Zortrax, and Fiverr. I am always in contact with more and more brands looking to further my scope and educate more people at every corner.
