Meet Benjamin aka ExoStudios: The Twitch Streamer making a difference by changing lives one stream at a time

Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Twitch Steamer Benjamin. Most fans know him as Exo or ExoStudios.

Hi Benjamin, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about your journey?

I started content creation on youtube back in 2016. It was mainly just gaming videos. I was doing pretty well, but I felt I was missing something. I didn’t like youtube because it was harder to communicate with the community through the comments. So in 2021, I decided to start streaming on Twitch; that way, I could interact with my fan base in real-time. Something still felt like it was missing. I needed a message. Something to help my viewers and spread positivity. That’s when I created my message of Stay Golden. The whole premise of Stay Golden is that despite the world being dark, with enough people doing small acts of kindness every day, we can make the world a better place. While this was a great start, I wanted to do more. I have battled with depression and anxiety most of my life. I’ve grown a lot and learned a lot from this mental disease. So that’s when my Twitch became less about gaming and more about helping my viewers through their hard times. Most streamers try to keep a positive attitude in their stream and don’t like negativity, but they forget that our viewers are real people with real problems. They aren’t just a number on the viewer count. I started checking on my viewers to see how they were doing, and those who were comfortable with it would talk to me right there on stream about what they were going through and their mental health. It’s an amazing experience to be able to help these people. My stream has become less about the game I’m playing and more about interacting with my viewers and helping them. With my community’s help, I’ve created an environment where people can openly discuss their problems and be welcomed with open arms, giving them a support system that they may otherwise lack. Because of this, my community and I have been able to save lives and change them, and that’s become the most rewarding part of streaming. I don’t care about the game. Just the people.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

It depends on what you mean by successful. Most people see a small streaming community and a streamer working two jobs to make ends meet. I still view myself as successful though not because of any money I make from streaming or how many viewers I have, but because I’ve been able to affect the lives of so many kids and adults who don’t always have the best home life or support system.

Any message for our readers

If you’re struggling with mental health or lack a community to be a part of, my stream could be a great place for you! Everyone is so warm and welcoming and treats each other with respect. Many people in my community have made lifelong friends and partners because we are so tight-knit.

Fantastic! So tell us, how can people find out more about you?

I’m most active on Twitch, but anyone interested can find all my social links here: https://wlo.link/@ExoStudios.
