An interaction with the founder of Mobile app ‘Abraham’s Legacy’ – A Social Network for Prayer

Today, we are interviewing Orly Wahba, founder of Life Vest Inside Inc. Life Vest Inside’s mission is to inspire, educate, and empower people of all backgrounds to lead a life of kindness.

She will be talking to us about the mobile application, Abraham’s Legacy. With this app, you can complete the book of Psalms thousands of times a day collectively with the entire world. Let’s hear more about it…

How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey?

I don’t think becoming an entrepreneur was a decision I consciously made, or if I may be so bold to say, it’s something that chooses you. It’s a way of thinking, of living and of perceiving. In actuality, I didn’t realize that the choices I was making defined me as an entrepreneur, I was simply listening to my heart that had been telling me ever since childhood that I was meant for something great. I was meant to create, to innovate to push boundaries and do the things that not many others would set out to do. I’ve always dreamed big. Truth be told, I didn’t realize I was dreaming big, because dreaming big was all I knew, dreaming big seemed natural.

What inspires you?

Inspiration means something different for everyone. For me, inspiration can be found in a song, in a movie, in the smile of a child, on a train ride, and in simply experiencing the world and connecting with people.

Inspiration is something I believe can be found in everyone, in everything, at every moment and in every circumstance. The question becomes, are we willing to see it, to uncover it, to become aware of its presence.

Please tell us about your mobile application, Abraham’s Legacy.

Instilling hope even in the darkest of times. Abraham’s Legacy – Psalms Together, is a place you can go to feel connected to the global world through the power of Prayer, through the power of Psalms.

Prayer changes us, makes us stop, and take a closer look at who we are, who we want to become. When we change, our world changes. We turn to it in times of need. When a loved one is sick. When someone is struggling with prosperity, finding their soulmate, or having children. When we feel alone when we need hope. When we need the strength to push forward, to overcome.

This application is a social network for Prayer. Simply tap to pray, and Abraham’s Legacy will give you the next chapter in the global count. You can also track how many books have been completed, chapters read, countries reading, and people reading around the globe. You can Set up daily notifications reminding you to read Psalms.

Which social media channels work best for promoting your work? What exactly do you do on the social media channel that makes it work for you?

Instagram, Facebook, and Whatsapp. Abraham’s Legacy is a very new company, so we are still building that base on social media. But generally, the channel will be used to share tutorial videos of How to, so people can maximize the use of the app. To announce virtual events, we have been organizing Virtual Concerts that combine Prayer through the app. Inspirational quotes and content about Prayer.

How did you think of this idea of creating Abraham’s Legacy app?

Abraham’s Legacy is created in memory of Avraham ben Pauline A’H.

When my grandfather, Albert Nackab A’H (Avraham ben Pauline), fell and broke his hip on Passover 2015, my family and I thought that we lost him. He had severe heart issues, and the injury only made things worse.

As is customary when someone is ill, we split up the book of Psalms amongst all the family members. One hundred and fifty chapters divided between his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. I was worried that perhaps someone would forget to read their specific chapter on a given day, and I wasn’t willing to take the risk of the book not being completed, so each day, I completed the entire book for months in his honor.

Only a few days after he fell, I had a dream about this app, a tool that can unite not just one family in Prayer but an entire world in Prayer. When my grandfather passed eight months later, I made a commitment to turn the dream into a reality. I didn’t have the funds, but I knew that my passion would drive me forward, and it most certainly did. I recall being in the hospital at a pivotal moment when the doctors thought that the end was near. I grabbed hold of my Psalms book and prayed with every ounce of my being. The miracles I experienced were tremendous.

Prayer does indeed have the ability to alter our reality. My grandfather may not have been the most religious man, but he believed deeply in the power of Prayer, and I recall him having a book of Psalms by his bed that he read daily. It’s only fitting that the legacy he leaves behind is a legacy of Prayer that unites.

So many people break up the book of Psalms in all sorts of ways. Creating WhatsApp groups, sending out daily text reminders. But each of those methods falls short. You never really know when the entire book is completed or if it ever fully completed. Abraham’s Legacy provides the most efficient way to read Psalms; whether you are reading for someone specific and create a circle, or whether you have a few minutes a day to pray. Now you can pray in unison with the world, knowing that the chapters you’re reading are part of a larger collective.

Looking back, what’s one thing you wish you understood better before you ever got started?

FOCUS on one thing and do it better than anyone else. Only then grow further. Just because something is a great idea, it doesn’t mean you should do it at the moment of conception.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

Remembering the why. With the endless list of reasons we create that make us question “how” I always say if you focus on the why you’re doing something, “how” will work itself out.

Any message for our readers.

First and foremost – YOU MATTER! Remember that and repeat it to yourself regardless of what others may tell you and regardless of how you may feel about yourself from time to time. One of the most important tools you’ll need to succeed and, most importantly, to be happy in life is to recognize your value and your worth. If you stop and look at all of the social issues plaguing society today, bullying, peer pressure, depression, substance abuse, suicide, violence – at the core and heart of the matter lies a lack of self-worth. People have forgotten to value themselves for what’s true and have instead sought validation from things that will never give them true validation. You’re worth isn’t dependent upon how much money you make, how many friends or followers you have, or the kind of car you drive. But, rather by the people whose lives you’ve touched, you’re small, simple acts of kindness are the things that truly matter.

How can people connect with you?

You can connect via website, Facebook and Youtube. You can download the mobile app here.
