Their love for animals inspired them to create a cruelty free skincare brand – Amelia Rose Natural Products

Today, we are interviewing Chris, the founder of Amelia Rose Natural Cosmetics, cruelty-free makeup, and skincare brand, which is launching on Saturday, 23rd May 2020.

Please tell us something about yourself.

I live in the UK, and in my spare time, I enjoy writing music and spending time with my family.

How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey?

Amelia-Rose-Natural-CosmeticsI decided to start our company late in 2019, along with my partner Chloe. As animal lovers, we were big supporters of cruelty-free products. Unfortunately, we found that most cruelty-free/vegan products were either low quality or overpriced. We decided to build a brand that offers the highest quality products at affordable prices. Chloe was trained as a make up artist and had lots of experience in the industry. My background has been in sales and building businesses. Together we feel, we make the perfect team that brings our company to the forefront of the market.

Who are your role models?

It’s hard to name role models individually as there are so many in this business. Anyone who treats their customers and team members with respect is a role model for me. The current crisis with the coronavirus pandemic has shown who the true role models are amongst all businesses, both big and small.

What inspires you?

The dream of creating a brand that people love is what inspires me. Already after a relatively short time, we have built a loyal following, particularly on our Instagram account. Everyone has given us positive comments, which has inspired us even more to do the best we possibly can. We don’t officially launch until Saturday 23rd May; however, we had a 24-hour pre-launch where we opened our website, and we were blown away by the number of people interested in our products.

Please tell us about your company.

As mentioned before, we want our brand to be the best quality possible, so we have spent months designing and sourcing the greatest cruelty-free products. Our cosmetics are produced in Canada using the best natural ingredients, and then we ship worldwide. We have been impacted by the current situation with the coronavirus, as have most businesses. This has made it very challenging preparing for our launch, but we have a great support network, and our customers have been amazing.

Which social media channels work best for promoting your work? What exactly do you do on the social media channel that makes it work for you?

Instagram is our main social media outlet. We have over 1000 very loyal followers who are all very interested in helping to build our brand. We decided we did not just want to build a brand for our customers, we wanted to build a brand with our customers. We are launching an ambassador program that our customers can register for on our website when we launch. They get exclusive offers, free products, and we help to promote them on our site. We have had thousands of messages in the last 2 weeks alone.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

Dedicating time to interact with our Instagram followers is a strategy that has definitely helped to build our reputation. We strive to offer a very personal level of service, even when we are receiving hundreds of messages every day.

What keeps you going when things get tough?

My family and our followers are what keeps me going during tough times. The world right now is a very strange and difficult place for any business, but I am so proud of the way that everyone has pulled together, and their safety is our main concern.

Any message for our readers.

I just want to thank you for reading, and we hope you will check out our website after we launch.

How can people connect with you?

We have our Instagram page, which is official_ameliarose. We also have a Facebook page, which is Amelia Rose natural cosmetics. If anyone wants to get in touch with us directly, they can email us at or check our website (23rd May 2020 onwards).
