Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Jenelle Alyse Arvizu, Founder & CEO of Gifts Of Grace Sober Living.
How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey.
Growing up, I’ve always had a huge heart and liked to help others. On the other hand, I also liked to have fun and was very curious. Well, my curiosity and lifestyle I created for myself got me into quite a lot of trouble. I have been through things in life that some people could not fathom, but because of those things, it has helped mold me into the beautiful warrior I am today! I recently started a business called Gifts Of Grace Sober Living because of what I have been through. I am a recovering addict, and I celebrated 2 years clean and sober Valentine’s day 2020. My sobriety date is 2-14-2018. Gifts Of Grace Sober Living will be -To provide structured and affordable housing for women in recovery from substance abuse. Guidance and resources will be offered to residents to help reach goals and live a meaningful life in sobriety. We welcome children too!
I started my business in November 2019 and have been saving my money since to open my first home. My first home of many homes will open in January 2021. I am also in the process of incorporating into nonprofit 501c3. I am very excited about what the future holds!
Who are your role models?
I have many role models – I have role models of who I do not wish to be like at all and role models of who I look at and wish to resemble. To speak on the role models, I wish to resemble in some form are independent, honest, ambitious, empathetic, strong women! There are tons out there! When I see them, I reach out, I follow, I watch. Keep up your hard work! The universe sees you! Keep shining!
What inspires you?
My God, My universe, My children, My family. The insane lifestyle that I never want to go back to inspires me. I have worked very hard to be where I am at today. One wrong decision and everything can be taken away from me. My dreams, My goals, My plans, and what I will leave my children. I will leave a mark on this earth in a positive way, and it will be beautiful!
Please tell us about your company.
I am the Founder & CEO of Gifts Of Grace Sober Living. Soon to be President and CEO of Gifts Of Grace Sober Living incorporated as nonprofit 501c3. I also manage 2 property rentals short term/long term, and I am a full-time Center Director/Weight Loss coach.
What’s your most memorable experience?
I have had many memorable experiences! One very exciting one that comes to mind though is jumping out of a plane for my birthday! I jumped tandem, videotaped the whole way, and my mom also jumped with me!
What’s your greatest fear?
My greatest fears are something happening to my children and that I leave this earth too soon, and my children have to grow up without their mother.
Looking back, what’s one thing you wish you understood better before you ever got started?
Everything. lol
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Well, I am still learning to be successful, but what has helped me up to this point is saving, pushing myself, taking risks, putting myself out there, and not being afraid to hear no’s. Taking it task by task, day by day, and most importantly, to have patience.
What keeps you going when things get tough?
My ultimate goal! My vision!

Don’t give up! Don’t keep things bottled in, create a support group if you don’t already have one, and if you do have one, utilize them. Love and take care of yourself! Do what makes you happy and love the people who choose to be in your life! Save your money and dream big! Make a plan and turn your dreams into realities! Time waits for no one!
