Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Franco López, a freelance photographer from San Rafael, Mendoza, Argentina.
How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey.
I started doing a photography course, and I was given the opportunity to take a full-time job with adventure sports photography. Still, as an amateur, I have been photographing as much as I can for several years!
Who are your role models?
Everyone is always a role model for me.
What inspires you?
I think nature inspires me the most.
Please tell us about what you do.
In addition to being a photographer, I am a musician, and I think they are two arts that get along very well in terms of concepts. Similar composition techniques can be used if we compare, for example, a sound scale with colors, atonality with a frame, etc.
What’s your most memorable experience?
The photograph that is on my blog of surfers is a photo that brings back very fond memories. I took it while we were walking on the beach with some friends when we had gone to visit the neighboring Chile country. Technically it has nothing out of the ordinary, but it is a photo that transports me and in which I managed to exactly capture what I wanted to save in the image.
Which social media channels work best for promoting your work? What exactly do you do on the social media channel that makes it work for you?
Instagram is the network that I use the most, and I only upload what crosses my life, but it also allows me to see my own evolution with respect to my photographs.
What’s your greatest fear?
I think it is about going ahead without fear, and if they appear, then simply face them.
Looking back, what’s one thing you wish you understood better before you ever got started?
I always seek to improve a little. What is gratifying is when you manage to take the right image you had in your head into photography.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Constancy has helped me.

Passion keeps me going.
