‘Peelz of Norway’ helps people get the best Spa experience through it all-natural products! Meet the Founder Jerome Richter.

Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Jerome Richter, a sauna master in one of Scandinavia’s Best Spa: Farris Bad in Norway.

Hi, please tell us about what it is that you do.

I do all sorts of rituals and sweat experiences in the steam. I work with essential oils and herbs, music, towel choreography, and lightshow to tell stories.

Please tell us more about your journey.

I started my job 4 years ago, while I was studying Visual Art and Design. I loved it and rapidly found a lot of interest in the performing art contact with the customers. I then went to some competitions and did really well.

In 2018, I presented at the Herbal Cup in Tchekia, a peeling ritual with a Viking theme: “How to prepare a Viking couple for the wedding.” It was a full detoxing ritual, using herbs and elements that the Vikings could probably have used back in the times, and was crowned world champion in the category “Peeling Ritual.”

In 2019, I tried the same competition again, but this time with an Ayurvedic theme called “Shodana.” This time the purpose of the ritual was to balance all three doshas with herbs only. I presented two different experiences in the steam, one in the sauna and one as a peeling, and won the title of “King of the Herbal Cup,” meaning best points for the whole completion.

That was a turning point in my career. I then started to believe in my sauna master skills and especially in the peeling world.

During my studies, I had to set up a business model to learn how to set up a startup. I decided to “go all-in” with some scrubs and opened a shop specialized in peelings. “Peelz of Norway” shop was born. The response was good, and now I am trying to go one step further and reach out more to the world. I then opened a webshop to start having an anchor in the digital world.

Please tell us more about your shop, Peelz of Norway.

My products at Peelz of Norway are all handmade and as natural as possible. I am not using chemicals to preserve them, only essential oils and vitamins E, which means you theoretically can eat them. I work with the knowledge I have gained during the years and my strong interest in plants. I also work with herbs to create herbal infusions or face masks, but I also design rituals for some spas. I create a story using different herbs and essential oils to create a performance for the guests in spas, based on a special theme. A personalized performance art for the spas out there…

With my products, I want people to feel a piece of the Norwegian raw nature on their skin…

I love watching the surprising eyes of my customers as they go out of a sauna experience or try my peelings for the first time… This mixed feeling of surprise, happiness, gratitude. All that in a magical atmosphere. This is the best reward…

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

The strategies that really helped me are the world titles in the sauna ritual world, which gave me credibility and confidence in starting my business. I now want to connect with other spas and reach out to people around Norway and the world to spread wellness.

Any message for our readers.

Just allow yourself a little relaxing time, enjoy and celebrate yourself.
