Today, we are having an interaction with Felipe Kamey. He is a great photographer and an avid gamer based in Los Angeles, California. He is very well known for some of his nature based stock photography.

1. How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey?
I always had a passion for art from a very young age and always had an keen eye to see beauty in the most unexpected areas. I remember being given my first camera around when I was twelve years old. It was a small point and shoot digital camera, but that was what really started my love for photography.
2. Who are your role models?
I remember at a young age my father would almost always have a camera with him. He loved not only taking pictures, but also looking back and reminiscing at old times through his photographs. Seeing how happy it made him has since inspired me to do the same.
3. Wow, that’s so nice to hear! Please tell us about your most memorable experience.
I have always been extremely hard on myself believing my photographs were never good enough until. I would go around town or on small hikes and shoot anything I liked but never shared any of my work until a friend told me about a few websites where I could upload “stock” photography. The first one I tried I have been told was one of the hardest to be accepted into yet I was quickly allowed to upload my work with no problems. Since then I started sharing more of my work online and have had plenty of praise. I believe if it was not for taking the risk to join that website I would have never realized I was actually good at what I do.
4. What are the success strategies/secrets that helped you in your journey?
I never gave up. No matter how rough days could be I always tried to see everyday with new eyes. Knowing that at any moment my day could change completely.
5. What’s your greatest fear?
I am scared of my own ego. As much as I love photography I wish to be able to be as humble as possible. My greatest fear is becoming too cocky with my art and failing to a achieve the dreams I had as a child to just make memorable moments.
6. What keeps you going when things get tough?
My father loves to see my work and constantly asks me to send him pictures. He will then usually upload them to his social media for all his friends and family to see. Knowing my father is proud of my work had always pushed me.
