Today we have a very special personality with us – Mr. Lonte (LT) Hill. He is the owner of ‘The Business Doctor,’ a business consulting firm with offices in Dallas, TX, Minnesota, Atlanta, and California. He is passionate about generational wealth, community engagement, and business startup strategies.
LT has spent years motivating and inspiring audiences to get out of their comfort zone and get a front-row seat in life. His slogan “I specialize in eliminating excuses” is infused in all of his communication. After starting his career in sales, he is now seen as the go-to motivational keynote speaker for organizations, corporations, and sales companies that want their people to improve their morale, teamwork, and communication skills and ultimately achieve more results. With his enthusiastic, engaging, and fun personality, he connects with his audiences immediately. He delivers content that they can immediately use when they get back to their office.
LT is a speaker for some of the top high schools, companies, and organizations in Minnesota, Iowa, California, Atlanta, and Texas. He has served as a Human Rights Commissioner for the City of Brooklyn Park. He also co-wrote the Youth Violence Prevention Initiative adopted by the City of Brooklyn Park in 2010, which still continues to reduce violence and crime by over 40%.
In addition to being a popular motivational speaker, LT is also the author of four motivational books to be released in fall 2020, including “Connecting the Dots,” “Don’t Drop Your Hustle,” “Don’t Be a Kick It” and “Using My Gifts for Greatness” and “Don’t Ignore the Red Flags.” When not delivering upbeat motivating programs for audiences across the country, LT coordinates annual events such as “Youth Connect” to combat youth homelessness.
Not bad for a kid whose family depended on public assistance and food stamps growing up. He has come a long way from humble beginnings to achieve the level of success many only read about. From poverty row-to- leadership row, he is one of the few success stories that have emerged out of one of Bakersfield’s worst neighborhoods. From the housing projects, he managed to escape the poverty, drugs, gangs, and violence all too familiar to us who watch the evening news.

I started my first business when I was 11, which was a landscaping company. I was an honor student, dancer. I was in the math club, debate team. I was making money since 5 years old.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
The strategy that helped me was never to give up. Someone always has it harder; God is with you. You are a Hill, and nothing can stop you but you. You can’t get rich working a job only working for yourself.
Generational wealth and peace need to be your goal. The day you start doing what you love to do is the day you stop working. Live in your Passion. Being a Business Consultant is my passion and my gift.
