She followed her calling to empower children live a life of enthusiasm and resilience..Meet Shiva Saravanan, Founder of Golden Daffodils.

Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Shiva Saravanan. She is an early literacy educator, UCLA PEERS® certified provider, motivational speaker, and children’s book author.

Hi Shiva, Great to have you with us today! Please tell us about what it is that you do.

I manage Golden Daffodils, an online early literacy development center that I created from a calling in my heart to empower children ages 4-8 with the knowledge and support they need to live a magical life of joy, enthusiasm, and resilience. The skills they learn from these programs will help them improve their overall confidence, mental health, and quality of life.

Please tell us more about your journey?

I have worked with children ages 2-10 in various educational settings, including virtual learning, for the past fourteen years. I love to teach, and I love to learn, and my philosophy is “Teach Them Early.”

Please tell us more about the books that you have authored.

I love to write children’s books, and if time permits, I even work on the illustrations. It is one of the many activities that take me to a different world where I transform into the book’s characters. My books focus on social and emotional learning, which I think are important to empowering children’s human relation skills.

All my stories end with a message for the young readers to take away.

I am proud of my work, and I can’t wait for Toby, Learns to Swim, and Trish, My Best Friend, to be finished. Like all my other books, these books hold a special place in my heart and life.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

Patience, perseverance, and continuous learning have helped me be who I am today. The life lessons I learned to persevere with patience in adversities and struggles have taught me what is important and what needs to be prioritized. It gave me the courage to face life as it came my way.

Any message for our readers.

My parents always tell me that sky is the limit. I add to that, and I tell you that everyone has endless opportunities to try without giving up.

Getting interviewed is not what I achieved overnight, but that constant preparation along the way without giving up has landed me in a place where I wished to be ten years ago.

So, trust your instinct, put your best foot forward, believe in yourself, and keep going forward. If doubt kicks in anytime when you are on your way to achieving your goal, remind yourself of your purposes and who you want to be.

Fantastic! So, tell us, how can people find out more about you?

I encourage you to visit my website. My website has great features like links to my YouTube channel and purchase/ read my books on Kindle from Amazon like a one-stop-shop.

Thank you so much, Shiva, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
