Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Karissa Ruiz, an Author, Student, and Junior Girl Scout.
Hi, Great to have you with us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us about what it is that you do.
I am 10 years old, and I am in the 4th grade. I am a full-time student, I am an author, I am a Junior Girl Scout, and I am an active activist in my city!
Please tell us more about your journey.
I have always enjoyed writing and drawing. My best friend is Wow Wow, I thought what could be better than writing stories about her and the fun things I imagine she would do. My aunt Erica Ruiz has helped me publish my book, my mom and dad helped me write and draw what I saw in my head. I started putting it all together, and eventually, we came up with a book I think everyone can enjoy.
Please tell us about your book, Wow Wow’s Adventures.
I am an author, and my first book is Wow Wow’s Adventures. Wow, Wow goes to the Jungle. This is the first book in hopefully a series to come. I am so excited to share my imagination with everyone.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
What helped me become successful in my journey are my imagination, my love for writing, and the help of my family and friends.
Any message for our readers.
I would like everyone to stay adventurous and remember to use their imagination no matter how old they get. Oh yeah, Wow Wow says to always eat good food!
