Please tell our readers more about your journey.

I started the self-publishing process in March 2020. It was something that I always wanted to do, be an author. I didn’t think I had what it took to make my dreams come true, but with unwavering support, I was encouraged to follow my dreams and accomplish my goal. The process was not the easiest one; there is a LOT to learn! I knew I couldn’t give up. Between editing, sketches, illustration process, and marketing, there was a feast of new ventures to research and learn. I am still learning more to this day, but it has truly become a passion that I will continue to pursue.

Please tell us more about your book, Kita and the Magic Paint.

My book, Kita and the Magic Paint is about Kita, the raccoon, and her friends discovering that by mixing two colors, they can create a brand new color. The book introduces children to the wonders of color theory. It encourages a child’s sense of excitement and curiosity.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

During the self-publishing process, I have met some amazing people, coaches, and teachers. I wanted to learn as much as possible. This journey is never-ending for me. I watched a lot of YouTube, signed up for multiple classes, and most importantly, became a student of my ambition. Continuously learning, researching, and asking millions of questions has been the most effective strategy in this expedition.

Any message for our readers.

I want readers to know that children need to be encouraged to make mistakes. For children to MAKE MISTAKES is the best thing a parent can let them do! From what I observed from my daughter, a mishap can be the most exciting discovery of all, and I want everyone to savor all those magical moments!”

Fantastic! So tell us, how can people find out more about you?
