We had the pleasure of interviewing Justin. Here are excerpts from the Interview.
Hi Justin, Great to have you with us today! Please share your journey with us.
I’m a medic in the U.S. Navy specializing in dental. When I wrote this book in 2020, I was working in the COVID clinic testing people for COVID at the time. When that was going on, we’re confined in our quarters and couldn’t leave unless to go to work. To pass the time I began writing, I didn’t consider back then about publishing and making a book. But when I started showing people my stories, they loved them, and I decided to take a leap of faith, go ahead and publish it.
Please tell us more about your book, The Black Rose Collection.
Writing this book was very therapeutic for me, and when I finished it, I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders because this book really describes my life story and challenges and struggles in my life and how I overcame them. I hope whoever does read this book finds strength as well as comfort in whatever they are going through.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Well, the strategy I took was to make an overall goal and then make the bullet points, checkpoints leading up to that goal. And to never forget, no matter how hard or daunting a challenge is, never give up on what you want to achieve.
