Author Jakub Rucinski writes a dystopian thriller of six hundred and twelve pages – ‘Paradigm Shift’

We had the pleasure of interviewing Jakub Rucinski, Author of Paradigm Shift. Here are the excerpts from the interview.

Hi Jakub, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.

Hi, I’m an eighteen-year-old student author from Parkland, Florida. My debut novel, Paradigm Shift, was published in a deal with both Amazon and Barnes & Noble and quickly became available in retailers nationwide. A dystopian thriller of six hundred and twelve pages, Paradigm Shift is still available for order through the Internet. I have a website detailing my journey, its availability, and referencing other articles about it.

Please tell us more about your journey.

English is not my first language. I originally moved here from Warsaw, Poland, with my family at the age of ten and learned to speak fluently by reading books. Since then, I have become proficient in two musical instruments (guitar and keyboard) and entertained reading philosophy and books on finance. These have helped me understand my position in the world and develop a method to produce and sell media, such as but not limited to literature.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

I have participated in multiple interviews about my work and frequently reinstated the value of my personal method of accomplishment, a daily habit of deep and focused effort in a 90-minute block of time, which helps me write my books. This has become my secret to productivity.

Please share about your second book, No Brakes.

This October of 2022, I published a second book, a novella entitled ‘No Brakes‘ edited by Huffington Post contributor and award-winning sports and pop culture writer Jamie Stangroom. Jamie and I worked on the relatively shorter book for weeks on end in order to ensure a satisfactory product, and I have chosen to dedicate it to my Polish military great-grandfather, using the first few pages to remark on his honor and achievements, which I believe greatly contribute to the masculine theme of the story.

My books have been sold in France, Thailand, and South Africa. In my free time, I have participated in student debates and engaged with the performing arts, and a number of collaborative sports like tennis which I believe have contributed to forming an authentic discipline within me.

Any message for our readers.

I’m looking forward to publishing more work in the future, possibly including non-fiction titles around the subject area of self-development for the public to enjoy. I believe my story is worth sharing.
