Hopper Eshu is a blog filled with unique and engaging content aimed to uplift, inspire, and encourage!, shares Founder Randy Hopper…

Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Randy Hopper, a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Author, and Blogger.

How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey.

Writing has always been my passion, but I didn’t take it seriously until after I returned from working in NYC on the frontlines of COVID19. I always put it off. I am a big procrastinator. After seeing all the lives lost in NYC, it made me realize life is too short. We should all live our lives and follow our passions.

Who are your role models?

I looked up to both of my grandparents. They truly were angels on this earth.

What inspires you?

People inspire me. I love to help. It’s more of a calling.

What’s your most memorable experience?

It would have to be working in NYC during the COVID pandemic. It was one of the toughest times of my life. I think I have PTSD from it. Writing helped.

Which social media channels work best for promoting your work? What exactly do you do on the social media channel that makes it work for you?

Facebook works best for me. I focus on engaging with people. Everything is so robotic nowadays. No one reaches out and has real conversations anymore. I try to meet people where they are.

What’s your greatest fear?

To lose a sibling.

Looking back, what’s one thing you wish you understood better before you ever got started?

I wrote a book recently “The Gift of Black”. It’s available on Amazon, and I wished I understood book sizes and formatting. A lot goes into making a book. It’s not just writing.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

I’ll let you know when I finish. I’m still learning.

What keeps you going when things get tough?

I love what I do. It is still fun for me. You have to love the good and the bad. Balance is the key to life.

Any message for our readers.

Be yourself, love yourself, and above all, take care of yourself.
