Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Jakevion Brown, known professionally as “Stickbaby Juan“, an American Hip-Hop Artist and Songwriter from Ashburn, Georgia. Stickbaby garnered fame after the release of his debut single “OG Brad” in late 2020 and “Luv Her,” which amassed over 100,000+ streams and received many positive reviews. He later released his debut mixtape, exclusively on MyMixtapez, which featured both earlier released singles. Stickbaby has earned quite the fan base. After a quick relocation to Atlanta, Georgia, Stickbaby is still gathering a larger fanbase and releasing singles.
He aims to unify humanity across the world. He wants his music to reach millions of people to experience the joy kindled only by music.
Can you please tell us more about your journey?
I can’t recall when the music itself started being an important part of my life. As early as I can remember, seeking out new songs has connected with me in a way few other activities have. And the more music I listened to, the more I wished I could express myself in the same way – especially when my older sister wrote her own songs.
But making anything myself always seemed so intimidating. What, me? Write a song? It’s so complicated, so many interlocking parts you need to get right – I’d never be able to do that myself.
But one day, through a convoluted chain of events involving obscure R&B, a rap rhythm, I got successful. Influenced by rap artists such as Lil Wayne, Jay Z, and others, I soon started writing songs and became a rapper with a big fan base.
So tell us, how can people find out more about you?
