Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Josh St. Romain, professionally known as J. TheSaint, Rapper, and Songwriter from the Island of St. Lucia.
Hi, please tell us about your journey.
My journey has been long and tough. Grew up in a family background of music. Mom sang at a church along with my older siblings. I also started singing. Since I grew up in church and it was all around me, I quickly transitioned into playing drums. I was in choir back at high school as well. My producer takes my work seriously and has shared my talents with others.
Please tell us more about your music projects.
I have so many unreleased songs and projects just sitting in the lab waiting for the time to go about marketing my music properly. I’m focused on the drill scene right now, after hearing Fivio Foreign, Pop Smoke (rest in peace), Stormzy, just to name a few. The favorite rapper would be J. Cole, and the most listened to rapper is Meek Mill. Hoping one day I make it big enough to know them and make songs with them. Holla is my newly released single; there’s a music video you can find by searching J. TheSaint Holla.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Networking has helped me quite a bit, but I still feel I need to be doing way more to get known and be out there. Coming from a small island is tough especially pursuing the Hip-Hop genre.
Fantastic! So tell us, how can people find out more about you?
You can look out for more exciting music from me for sure. I am trying to gain a loyal fan base. You can search for me on YouTube, J. TheSaint, and you can subscribe, comment and share. You can also check out my Instagram @j.thesaint.
Thank you so much for giving us your precious time! We wish you the best for your journey ahead!
