We had the pleasure of interviewing Donnie Bradley jr, a.k.a. Selfmade Stunner. Here are the excerpts from the interview.
Hi, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.
I was born and raised in Southeast Washington, DC, and I’m one of the best rappers in the world. I have been rapping and bettering my craft for over ten years now. I was 12 when I was like, this is what I want to do. I saw all of my family making music, so I fell in love with it, and I was a big Lil Wayne fan at heart, rapping his lyrics and standing in front of the TV with my dreads swinging and the aluminum gum rapper in mouth. Life was simple back then.
Please tell us what inspires your music.
When I create a hit, I always want it to mean something. I’m really big on making people think when they hear it or say something that they gotta go back and be like, I gotta hear that again, and all my songs come from the heart. It’s real passion in my tracks. I don’t just put anything out. If it’s out, I spent a lot of time on that track. I want my supporters to get the best.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
The strategy that helped me become successful in my journey is to push myself because I’m my biggest critic. I’m really hard on myself. My wife tells me that all the time, and she pushes me a lot to be the superstar that I am. And just overall, knowing that I have two kids and want to set them up financially, so they never have to struggle when they grow up.

My message to the readers is that you should never count on friends or family to support you or your movement because they don’t see your vision. You’re the only one who sees it; they won’t see it until it benefits them.
