Today, we are interviewing DJ Devious Remix, Miami based DJ. He is always working to build his craft and continues to expand worldwide.
Please tell us something about yourself.
I am from the Dominican Republic, family-oriented, and a people’s person. To me music is just as important as the three meals I need daily. Music has got me through so many hardships and has allowed me to take on any mission at hand. I couldn’t imagine any part of my life without a soundtrack. As a DJ I make remix blends, I change up the beats of the originals and place other produced beat sounds or styles to remake a classic and/or new hit song. I also do live mixes from old school classics or new exclusive music.
How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey?
I started with a group of DJ’s helping and studied the art of mixing through observation and practice. I also worked at a music store throughout high school and was familiar with the world of music before getting my feet wet.

DJ Premiere, Quest Love, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Clue, Gary Vaynerchuck & Timbaland.
What inspires you?
Coming up with creative ideas to improve something or make something new.

What’s your most memorable experience?
Ending a night with a full crowd of people chanting my DJ Name.

What’s your greatest fear?
God or not giving my all in accomplishing my dreams.
Looking back, what’s one thing you wish you understood better before you ever got started?
How to learn the promotional world and investing the proper way to get your name out. I do my own promotion and marketing, and I had to learn how to do, I wish I gained this type of knowledge earlier on.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Consistency, cadence, and diversity.
What keeps you going when things get tough?
I try to stick with it one way or another. One solid positive person in your circle equals a squad.
