We had the pleasure of interviewing Ariana Celaeno, Singer and Songwriter based in Europe. Here are the excerpts from the interview.
Hi Ariana, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.
I was born on 26/02/1998 (I am 24 years old). My life was always music, is music, and always will be. I am a singer because I want to hug people with my voice when they have no one else to hug. I’ve been there when there is only a song that can understand you. Not your friends, not your therapist, not your parents. Only a song.
I am an independent artist, not yet signed with any label. My genre is a mix of R&B, Lo-Fi, and Pop/Dark Pop. I started working on Fiverr as a vocalist/lyricist in 2019. Ever since then, it has become my full-time job. People hire me daily for their songs. I write about 5-6 songs/day, if not more. I can write a song in 20 minutes (with melody and deep lyrics).
Please tell us more about your journey.
I grew up without parents. My grandparent(s) took care of me. When I was 8, my grandpa passed away, and that pain inspired me to write my first poem. I grew up in a little town in Hungary. Nobody ever liked me, but they also didn’t try or give me a chance to get to know me. I never fit in. My childhood was horrific. This also triggered the “artist” in me. I knew that even if I’m on the dark side of the moon right now, if I walked enough, I would reach the bright side. I was going to a music-related elementary school. I grew up there, basically- around music. I learned how to play the violin, flute, and some piano. I wanted to sing, but no one ever gave me a chance. Even the teachers didn’t believe in me. They treated me very poorly. My music teacher actually kicked me out of the choir because of my behavior (I was just laughing at a joke). I never gave up, though. When I was introduced to music (age 6 or 7), ever since then, I have been singing karaoke. My stepmother told me to stop singing in a very bad manner because she hated my voice, and she said, “you will never be a singer.” I still didn’t give up. When she wasn’t home, and I was only with my grandmother, I closed the doors and windows and practiced. Every single day. There were days when I would throw away my phone and cry, saying my stepmother is right, my voice is bad, and I would never make it as a singer. I gave up so many times. I lost so many battles. But in the end, I could never give up on music. I tried again. And tried. And tried until my ears heard the potential, and I started to have hope. No, I never had help, or vocal coach, or any of that. I learned everything by myself about music and my voice.
In 2018 I met someone, and we talked pretty often. He was also a musician/rapper. He heard me humming one day and decided that he wanted my vocals on his song. I was so happy, excited, and surprised. Also shy, though. That’s when it all started. He encouraged me to upload my karaoke to SoundCloud, and then I sang his songs too. He introduced me to musicians, producers, and other artists, and that was my door into the music industry.
Later in 2018, I started writing my own songs. I wrote a whole album of 9 songs called “the girl, who fell in love with the Wolf.” I recorded it with a gamer headset because I had no microphone back then. “3 am in my head” went viral on my birthday, and that gave me a huge push to continue writing songs and releasing them. Music was always there for me in the hardest times, and I realized that I want my songs to be there for others when they need it too. It’s my time to help the world like I was given a chance.
Not long after, in 2019, I moved to Denmark. I had a very hard time in the beginning here because I started from scratch. I built my whole life from nothing, with no help. I went through a lot here, but I never stopped making music. Even in the hardest times, I was writing, singing, and working on new songs. That’s when I registered on Fiverr, which changed my life. Ever since then, I’ve been working with hundreds of artists, singing and writing their songs. It helped me improve and practice my voice and my writing skills, and it slowly also became my full-time job. Insane to me, and I can still not believe it that it’s happening and that this is my life.
My biggest achievement as of now is that one of my duets got into two Netflix series (Young Royals, Never Have I Ever). My journey so far has taught me that it doesn’t matter if no one believes in you. If you believe in yourself, that’s enough. If you really want it, it will happen.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
First of all, I believed in myself, even when no one else did. I kept going, fighting, and in my opinion, the universe always falls in love with a stubborn heart.
Also, I think Fiverr helped me a lot. I write many songs a day, and that means a lot of practice for both my singing and writing skills. I’m also trying myself in new genres.

Never stop going! Never. Trust me; hard work will pay off. Maybe not tomorrow, and not after, but it will. If you really want it, and you keep working on it every single day, it will happen. Patience, hard work and consistency are the keys to success.
When you feel lost, think about it as a journey. It’s okay to be lost, and make your own paths and find ways that no one ever has found.
