Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Joel Pesce II, a.k.a. JoelID or Joel I.D. He is an American Rapper, Singer, Songwriter, Record Producer, and Published Poet from Pensacola, Florida, residing in Arizona for the last 20+ years.
Can you please tell us more about your journey?
I began my Rap career at a young age underground as a freestyle battle rapper. I have since moved on to creating a brand and a name for myself, JOELID. Nowadays, I believe my image is that of a true family man who will do whatever it takes for his loved ones.
Please tell us about your Music, Songs, and most recent album ‘The Rebrand.’
I have recently received a lot of feedback from fans and critics expressing how I can better myself. Last year I dropped 2 albums, “A Glimpse,” which had what some have described as ‘one of the greatest storytelling underground rap songs of all time,’ “A Glimpse at a Death Threat,” and “The JoelID LP.” I really learned a good amount about myself and what people are looking for. Mostly how to connect better with fans and be more me on track. This new album called “The Rebrand,” that’s out 01/01/2021, is 100 percent me. I only made one beat on the album this time. I searched for the perfect beats, wrote every lyric, and memorized it before recording. I took my time mixing and even sent them off to get them mastered, I listened to the fans and critics, and it really has paid off. I have 2 music videos coming out for this album and 1 lyrical video. I actually believe my favorite song I have written up to date is on this album… it’s called “Finally Famous,” and we are in the midst of filming the music video for it now. It’s going to be phenomenal!
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
I have never given up. My upcoming album, “The Rebrand,” available from January 1st, 2021, proves that to my fans and critics. I believe that you keep trying until you’ve exhausted all angles. You can’t be afraid to show the world who you really are.
