He does not take anything for granted, Meet the dedicated Actor and Director Luke Edward Smith.

Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Luke Edward Smith, an Actor, and Director from Sydney, Australia.

Please tell us about your journey.

I’m currently living and working in New York City. I started acting in high school, a teacher told me I had to audition for the school play, and I half-jokingly agreed to. I thought it’d be fun to at least try, and I knew I wouldn’t get a part, so there was nothing to lose! I dressed in a kilt, sang a song, and got the lead role. That was the start, then it was university, starting a theater company with some friends, and eventually, moving to New York.

Please tell us about Primitive Grace.

As an actor, I’m always working on different projects, but a lot of my time is spent with my company here, Primitive Grace Theater Ensemble. We develop new and original works and really dig into the uncomfortable parts of being human. We push out to the fringes of what humanity is and try to expand an audience’s understanding of who they are and, for that matter, the person next to them.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

For me, it all comes down to doing the work. Preparing for a role, workshopping a new script, creating new content, it all comes down to the work I put in. No-one will give you anything; you’ve got to prove you can do it. So, for me, it’s about making sure that I’m not taking anything for granted, putting everything I have into all that I do.

Any message for our readers.

I think no matter what you do in life, go after it. What have you got to lose, really?

Fantastic! So tell us, how can people find out more about you?
