Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Ehcli, a Rapper and Producer.
Hi, Please tell us about what it is that you do.
I make music in English and Spanish. I keep my identity hidden as much as possible and never upload pictures of myself so that people connect and relate to my music without knowing the face behind it.
Can you please tell us more about your journey?
I am from Carolina, Puerto Rico. I was raised by a single mother in one of the worst “Pueblos” in Puerto Rico. A “Pueblo” is what is considered a “city” in the English language. Surrounded by violence, me, my mom and my brother struggled a lot trying to get away from all that. You never knew who was making it out; you had to be careful 24/7.
You couldn’t even go out to celebrate special holidays like Christmas. I’ve always loved music, and when I moved to the states, it opened up so many opportunities I never thought I would have. I didn’t start taking music seriously until a couple of bigger artists noticed me. Then I started making songs with them, becoming friends with more and more rappers, talking to the same producers, etc. It was like a wake-up call that I can really do this and be successful.
Then, I got an opportunity a couple of months ago to take my music to the next level, and that’s what I did. I signed a deal with a label very dear to me, and now I’m doing big things in the world at a young age.
Please tell us more about your music projects.
After signing a private deal with OBF Entertainment, my music really started to get noticed, so I had to take most of my music down so it wouldn’t interfere with a new release my label was planning.
Shortly after signing, I started working on an album called “B L O O D F A L L.” When word spread that I was working on that album, everyone went crazy. There was a lot of hype around it, and the tracklist even got leaked.
Due to some circumstances, the album had to be pushed back and is yet to be released. But hopefully soon.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Definitely patience and hard work. You can’t rush anything. Most of the time, you’re going to end up with a product that you’re not even satisfied with. And always work hard; you can’t expect everything to be handed to you. You will see the results of your hard work in the end.

Life doesn’t care about you; life doesn’t care how sad you are. It will keep challenging you and pushing you until you can’t take it anymore. I know what it’s like to be alone, sad, no motivation, ready to give up; it sucks.
But, keep pushing; you can succeed. I believe in you. You can do it.
