Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Kizkrash, a dubstep music producer.
Hi, Please introduce yourself and tell us about what it is that you do.
Kizkrash is a dubstep alias I created in march of 2020 that is slowly rising up. It is filled with a classic Brostep sound, My own recorded vocal samples, and a unique mascot.
Can you please tell us about your journey?
So I am Kizkrash, I create Dubstep and Trap predominantly, and I have a serious chronic obsession with both genres. I started off in 2018, about three years ago, and over time, I went through many different aliases and brand changes, one of which was known as Bam Bam, which created dubstep and GlitchHop. However, the name was too common, which caused me a huge amount of failed branding and distribution across all platforms. That’s when one night I created Kizkrash, and everything changed. I found out that no one else had the name, and it was my ticket to success. To date, I have accumulated over 5,000 total views on YouTube and 2,500 on Soundcloud.
Please tell us about your Song ‘YOLO’
My song, “YOLO,” is a track written as a Dubstep-Pop fusion with my own vocals and written lyrics accompanying it! It’s a song that has gained a small bit of popularity within my space of underground producers and has amassed over 1,000 views total on YouTube. The song talks about being too full of yourself and eventually getting what was coming to you.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
My strategies for success boil down to having a mascot, or face of my brand, that can be recognized anywhere. It’s also blending genres together and creating something no one has ever heard. It’s hard to do, but with determination, it works better than you think!
