Philadelphia based Rapper & Songwriter GradedAxe aka Reek releases his highly anticipated track ‘Deep End’ on major streaming platforms!

Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing GradedAxe aka Reek, a songwriter and performer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Hi, Please tell us about what it is that you do.

I’ve been writing music for many years but just recently started to take this industry seriously. I’ve kept my writing to myself for a while, only sharing what I would write with close friends & some family members. All of whom would tell me that I should pursue some type of career in writing or at least try it professionally because of the potential they would see in it.

Can you please tell us more about your journey?

I then decided to connect with people already in the industry to get me rolling. I did my first studio session recently, and needless to say, I really loved the end result of the process. Writing is a hobby of mine that I love doing and now even more so that I can paint my art this type of way & deliver it to people to feel themselves. I wear my emotions on my sleeve & try to reflect whatever I’m feeling onto my work. Writing for me is my second full-time job as I am an automotive mechanic during the day. I have 8 years of experience in that field as well, and I run a shop not too far from the Philadelphia area itself. As far as the music, I am releasing my first Track named “Deep End” out on all streaming platforms on April 6, 2021.

Please tell us about your music projects.

My artist’s name is Graded, aka GradedAxe. I can be found on Instagram @Reeky__215. I have many more projects to be released, but the first being on April 06, 2021. The music industry I’ve learned is a lot different from what I thought it would be like. I appreciate the people willing to listen to my part. It’s sort of a therapeutic method in a way to express myself through song or writing. I really hope you ladies & gentlemen come to check me out as I have many goods for you. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope the rest of your day is blessed.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

I’ve had many friends and, specifically, one cousin of mine who would always be in my ear about pushing the music and would always tell me my writing is good. Still, I was comfortable keeping it to myself. I was told one day after that by this same cousin, “When the talent is in your face all the time is hard to see it, but from the outside looking in, you have the potential & talent.” So I listened to those words from him & proceeded to see how this would play out & here we are.

Any message for our readers.

Getting good ears to hear the music is the only challenge left, so thanks again for taking your time to skim through this. I can’t stress enough how much I appreciate it.

Fantastic! So tell us, how can people find out more about you?

My YouTube is Graded Axe and my Instagram is @Reeky__215. After the release of my first single, “Deep End,” I will then start to put music videos on my YouTube channel for visuals along with the audio. Support from others is a huge reason I’m even this far; it’s the encouragement to keep going that pushes the craft even further & I am super excited to share it all with you.

Thank you so much for giving us your precious time! We wish you the best for your journey ahead!
