Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Rosegang, an RnB & Hip Hop Artist from Tauranga, New Zealand.
Hi, Great to have you with us today! Can you please tell us more about your music career? How did it start?
It all began for me when I was seven years old. I taught myself how to play the drums, and by the time I was 12, I became very good and started playing in our local church. At the age of 16, I got caught up in the wrong crowd and stopped playing music altogether for about four years. But even through that time, the passion for music was still there.
I started playing music again at the age of 20 and concluded this is what I want to do full time and as a career. I have always loved Rap/Hip-hop music but have been too afraid to give it a go as growing up. I was always the drummer boy.
Please tell us more about your music and what it takes going into the creation of a song?
Songwriting is also one of the many skills I always had growing up. For me, it’s an expression, a way of getting things off my mind and chest. There’s a lot that goes into bringing a song together, such as songwriting, recording, mixing the song and mastering it, etc. But I don’t see it as work; I love every step of the process.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your music career?
I wouldn’t say I have a strategy, but whatever I put my mind to, I’ll do it no matter what anyone says, and like anything, practice makes perfect. I’m still learning, but every day little by little, is a step closer to becoming that much better.
Any message for our readers and your future fans?
Pretty much just whatever it is you want to pursue in life, just do it cause if you don’t, you will regret it for the rest of your life. So make that move and don’t be afraid of change; change is good. Cause that’s where we grow.
