We had the pleasure of interviewing Kirstie.V, singer and songwriter. Her music is mainly dance, pop, and EDM. She has recently started recording more R&B tracks and some trance and DNB/House.
Here are the excerpts from the interview.
Hi, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.
Hi, I’m a singer/songwriter based in Bristol, UK, and I have been working with Ultrawave Records as a Topline artist since January 2020, releasing music worldwide on all digital platforms.
Please tell us more about your journey.
My journey into music started at a young age, around the age of 4. My love for music has grown through the years, and at the age of 13, I started playing around with lyrics and writing my songs. In late 2018, I started recording professionally and released my independent album, ‘me myself and I.’ Since then, my music knowledge has grown, and I have joined a record label creating more pop/dance/EDM tracks and helping to raise profits and awareness for charities through more music releases. ‘I am woman’ album was released in June 2022, raising money for the ‘women’s aid’ domestic abuse charity and helping to empower women.
Please share with our readers about your music projects.
Most of the music I create and write now are dance/pop tracks. I’m a big lover of synth-pop and reworking older classics. My upcoming track, ‘goodbye‘ is a rework of a classic Bananarama song and is being released on February 24th, 2023. I am also still promoting my latest album, ‘I am woman,‘ which was released in June 2022 to help raise awareness for a domestic abuse charity, and profits from this will go towards women’s aid. All my tracks are heartfelt and from real-life experiences, so listeners can connect and feel strong and empowered through my music and lyrics.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
I have ensured I gain further experience and music knowledge by creating as many collaborations as possible and working with many different producers, DJs, rappers, and singers to move forward in my musical journey and career. This will not only help to get me noticed and heard as an artist but help me grow and learn at the same time. I am learning something new with every track I make. I also find writing lyrics from past experiences and current emotions helps connect with listeners on a deeper, more personal level. I feel this is why most of my listeners enjoy my music, as it is relatable.

I’d like to think that my music can help others as well as myself during tough and confusing times.
