Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Kevin Perez Gonzalez a.k.a. Young Mexicann. He is a Rapper, Singer, and Songwriter.
Hi, please tell us about your journey.
I have been rapping since I was 13, stopped when I was 14, and just started again this year. I have worked with Shiloh Dynasty, Marvel Boy, Sauce Kidd, and many more.
Please tell us about your upcoming music album ‘Red Dream.’
My song has debuted at #158 on the billboard 200. I have only dropped 1 album named ‘Hate Me,’ which was released in 2018, and have another one coming in summer this year titled ‘Red Dream.’ I’m the only “famous” person to make it out of Alamance, North Carolina. And I’m highly respected here. People talk about me a lot. I’ve had fights in school and stuff like that. But I’m focused on my Album Red Dream, which I’m sure will be a success. Kloey Vaughn, Yrksamaurai, and Burqui are the main features on the album. The album is titled ‘Red Dream’ because I get sad in the night, and I get into my head a lot. The beginning of the album brings you into that Red Dream concept; near the end, I wake the listener up and bring them back into life.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
I have always believed in myself. People used to say, “you will never accomplish anything.” Then boom, I blew up off my hit single titled ‘What,’ which has thousands of streams. I have always worked hard and never cared about ignorant people’s opinions.
Any message for our readers.
I have a message for anyone who wants to start in music. Or to the youth, Follow your dreams!
Ignore people; let them talk. At the end of the day, you’re getting where you wanna be and who cares what they say?
Keep working, keep grinding, and I promise you it will work out. You get what you deserve in life. If people talk bad about you, let them, they only get your name out there more and more.
