Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Dru Grange, R&B Singer, Songwriter, and Performer based out of Canada.

Hi Dru, Great to have you with us today! Please tell us about your journey.

My journey has had its ups and downs, but in the end, I’m content and happy to be making music from my heart. 

Please tell us about your latest single, Can’t Get Enough.

My new single, ‘Can’t Get Enough,‘ is sexy, funky, edgy, playful, and fresh. My producer Steve Hollywood was very influenced while making the music by one of the greatest producers of all time Quincy Jones, and you hear it when you listen to the song. Can’t get enough is off my new album, The Rebirth MMXX, the sound of the new album is very 90s R&B influenced, and the emotional songs go deeper than I have before. Making this album was a very freeing experience because it all came from me and was not influenced by radio or the next hot new trend. Includes previously released singles YNF, A Girl like You, Like I Do, Caroline, Don’t Be Afraid, and more. 

 

What’s your most memorable experience?

The first time I performed for an audience when I was 14. I sang Brian McKnight’s ‘One Last Cry’ acapella at a nationwide talent show. I was nervous as HELL, and the audience went nuts; that was the moment I knew I was going to be a singer.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

  • Stick to your guns
  • Work on your craft daily
