Waldmann studied the piano and the violin but chose the keys as her instrument. This led her to study with Désiré N’Kaoua. Later, she joined the French Royal Conservatory in Brussels, where she trained with Dominique Cornil. Thanks to her amazing performance and multiple awards, Blandine followed this by studying at the Flemish Royal Conservatory alongside such distinguished personalities as Alexandre Madzar, Daniel Blumenthal, and Viviane Spanoghe. At the Conservatory, the artist earned two Master’s, one in piano and one in chamber music. She continued to study worldwide, taking classes in different European countries with renowned performers.Â
Between 2014 and 2017, Blandine performed in various contests, earning multiple first places in various prestigious competitions, such as the Grand Prize Virtuoso in Salzburg or the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition in New York. With multiple awards under her belt, the pianist performed in some of the best concert halls across the world, including Carnegie Hall, The Royal Conservatory in Brussels, the Festival della Valle dell’ Orfento, and many, many others. Waldmann is a versatile artist who does not specialize in a specific time. She has worked with the finest pieces from Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Brahms, Ravel, Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, and many others, but has also succeeded in performing modern music and often works with contemporary composers like Vincenzo Palermo, Frederik van Rossum, and Jonathan Östlund. The artist has recorded Grains, fleur et son envol, for violin, clarinet, percussion, and double bass by Alin Gherman and released an album in 2018, Momentum (Dux Label), which showcases amazing works from Mussorgsky, Scriabin, and Brahms.
