As heard on MTV and E! JAEA is now releasing her new single “Bad Bitch”

Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing JAEA, a singer and songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. On September 5th, she is releasing her first single “Bad Bitch”. Pre-save on Spotify!

You are releasing your first single “Bad Bitch”. We read in your previous interview what is behind this title. How would you describe your sound?

My sound is constantly changing based on how I’m feeling. I would say it’s RnB soul-pop with a little rock influence right now if I had to describe it, but that could change later.

What does music mean to you?

Music is everything. It’s one of those things that could invoke any feeling, sadness, love, inspiration, and overcoming adversity. The possibilities are endless and ever-changing. I always felt that music is powerful in that way.

Are there any musical influences that shaped your artistry?

Literally, there are so many I can’t count. 90s Rnb is probably up there, though. I love Lauryn Hill, TLC, Adele, Sam Smith, The Weekend, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars; I feel like their music is uniquely theirs, and it invokes those feelings I mentioned earlier. There are many others I named that I stay inspired by.

Are you releasing more music soon?

Definitely, this is just the beginning. I plan on coming out with music consistently, looking forward to it.

We heard you on MTV and E!. Was it the first time you felt like you really want to be a musician and chase your dreams?

I have always had that dream … since I could sing, but really seeing my music being used for television and radio really solidified that I could do this and that it was possible for me to make my life pong dreams a reality. The excitement was unmatched.

What is the most difficult thing about being a musician?

I think staying true to yourself while also appealing to the masses. Staying genuine in a world that is constantly changing.

Do you have any family members that are musicians as well?

I have many musicians in my family. My grandparents being the reason why I sing and play music. My whole life, I have had their musical influence. I have my grandma’s highs and my grandpa’s lows.

Who supports you the most?

Oh, I have countless people who support me 100%, so many people want me to succeed. Still, I know without a doubt, my mother will always be my number 1 supporter.

What can we wish for you in the next year of your career?

Growth, as a person and as an Artist that is all I can really hope for.
