Who is Lyn-Z?
Lindsey Ann Way or more commonly known as Lyn-Z is a Scottish Artist and Musician. She is most famously known for being the bassist in the American electronic rock band called Mindless Self Indulgence.
More About Her Career
Lyn-Z was originally the bassist for the dolly parton cover banned called Beg Yer Parton before she decided to join Mindless Self Indulgence, where she found her home and hasn’t looked back since. Lyn-Z, along with her fellow artist Jorden Haley contributed to the artwork for their 2005 album titled “You’ll Rebel To Anything.”
Following that, on November 13, 2010, she unveiled her artwork collection, which she had titled “HUSH” at the Dark Dark Science Gallery, which was a joint exhibit called “Smile Even If It Hurts” with her former friend and fellow artist Jessicka. It didn’t take long after that for Lyn-Z to unveil her own website LindseyWay.com which she launched on December 11, 2010. The website featured an extended gallery of her artwork. Lyn-Z even contributed a piece of her artwork to the famous South Park 15th Anniversary Art Exhibition at Opera Gallery that is located in New York.
She had also auditioned as the replacement for Vanessa YT (a fellow bassist of MSI) sometime in late 2001. Lyn-Z is known for her active stage presence and has even blown fire at a concert while performing the song Tornado. She’s been known to stage dive, and her stage outfits most often consist of a customized schoolgirl uniform. Her eccentric personality is well-known and beloved by her fans.
We can only hope that Mindless Self Indulgence comes back together, as they’ve been on a hiatus since 2014, and there haven’t been any mentions of them getting back together anytime soon.
Personal and Love Life
Although Lyn-Z suffered a collapsed lung in 2002 and had to be hospitalized, she quickly recovered and has been in good health ever since, and there are no records of any additional health problems throughout the years.
After a concert in Colorado, Lyn-Z married Gerard Way, the lead singer for My Chemical Romance, on September 3, 2007, in a somewhat spontaneous ceremony. They were actually married backstage, after the final date for Linkin Park’s “Project Revolution” tour was revealed, where both, Lyn-Z and Gerard Way were both a part of the touring bands alongside it. The simple ceremony was performed by a member of Live Nation’s touring staff, who just happened to be an ordained minister. The couple still is happily wed to this day and currently reside in Los Angeles, California. They have a daughter together, Bandit Lee Way.
Lyn-Z has also proudly admitted in a recent tweet that she is an “honorary member of the lesbian club” and that her first love was actually a woman, and her first serious relationship had also been with a woman.
