Who is Lil J (Jeremy Dooley)?
Jeremy dill Dooley, also known as “Lil J,” is an American musician, voice actor, podcast host, rapper, lyricist, writer, and YouTube star. He is best known for his hosting in Rooster Teeth’s gameplay division Achievement Hunter and his voice acting in Camp Camp. Apart from Achievement Hunter, he appears as an occasional actor and content creator in Live action presented by Rooster Teeth. He has also done lots of voice acts in cartoons like Camp Camp, Ten Little Rooters, Million Dollars, The Eleven Little Roosters, and more.
Dooley was born on June 4, 1991, in Burlington, Massachusetts. As a young teenager, he took on varying jobs. The jobs included cashier at Brigham’s Ice Cream in the Burlington Mall, Gymnastics Instructor for the Burlington Rec Center, Karate Instructor at Steven Nugent’s Karate Institute, Pottery Barn in the Burlington Mall, and a proofreader for a medical institute in Boston. He started working at just the age of 14. He studied Media Arts and Animation at the New England Institute of Arts. He went to a local High School in Burlington.
According to Jeremy himself, he was a massive fan of Achievement Hunter when he was in college. There was also an Achievement Hunter community in which he was very active. To declare his love for the run, he created a fan series named Epic Rap Battles of Rooster Teeth and published it on his YouTube channel. His YouTube channel, Achievment4Idiots, became the first-ever means of his fame. Moreover, he occasionally starred in series like MegaCraft and Community Hunter.
Rooster Teeth and His Career
During RTX 2014, on July 6, Dooley and his fellow community figure Matt Bragg were hired to participate in an on-stage performance by Caleb. The story goes something like that: they were both waiting in line and shot a question jokingly at Geoff, asking if they could be hired. Their question was not shut down to their utter surprise, and he legitimately said yes by inviting them on-stage. They literally got hired on the spot.
Jeremy started to work as a content creator, recurring host, and editor, along with his friend Matt Bragg. In early 2015, he was promoted into the main room as the lead content creator, filling the position left by Ray Narvaez. As he became the primary member, Jeremy went on to edit his Xbox Live game name from Jeremy6401 to JDoolz. The suggestion for this name came from Gavin Free. However, he kept the name Jeremy6401 for his PlayStation Network ID.
Jeremy Dooley is married to Katherine Teebagy, who goes by the nickname “Kat.” Jeremy and Kat have been in a relationship since he was 14 and eventually tied knots on Jeremy’s 25Th Birthday. He also has three cats named Zipper, Booker, and Scooter.
As for his ethnicity, he is quarter Irish from his father’s side, half-Syrian from his mother’s side, and quarter Italian.
Jeremy’s Irish father works for a manufacturing company that builds missiles and other weaponry for the US Army. He has been associated with the company since 1976.
